FONA is a global dental equipment company. Early 2017 they introduced their new product Aquamarine – a blue diode laser which allows dentists to work with more precision and efficiency. Treatment is faster, more focused on the affected area and hence more comfortable for the patient.
With this product, dentists benefit from a user-friendly and intuitive graphical user interface. All relevant parameters are visible at a glance and can easily be adjusted. This allows dentists to focus entirely on their patients.
The Solution
The hardware as well as the GUI have been developed with Embedded Wizard by our partner TQ-Systems GmbH, a technology company and EMS provider offering the complete range of services from idea to final product.
For this GUI, TQ implemented reusable templates for those UI elements, which repeatedly appear on different screens. The templates need to be implemented just once and can be reused on every desired screen. Furthermore the GUI is available in multiple languages, which has been developed within a single GUI project. Whenever the current user language is switched, all dependencies are evaluated and displayed automatically. With those features, TQ reduced their development time and made a durable product, which can easily be maintained and enhanced in shortest time.
