in Intensive Care
Product: Ventilution
Company: Gründler medical
Domain: Medical
Platform: NXP i.MX6 ULL
GUI developed by: TARA Systems
The physician Dr. Christoph Gründler and his brother Markus Gründler, both entrepreneurs, strive to provide innovative systems to improve mechanical ventilation in intensive care units.
From their own background experience, Christoph and Markus know that caring for a coma patient is a 24-hour job with massive responsibility for the nursing staff on intensive care units.
Simplifying the Handling
So many things can happen to a person in a coma on ventilation and the attending physicians and nurses must be able to react and to take decisions in favor of their patient – within a moment. Therefore ventilation equipment has to offer a user interface that is understandable and operable within as few clicks and views as possible.

The Result
The new appliance is equipped with an animated easy-to-understand installation guide to guarantee the correct setup of its sophisticated tubing system. By means of illustrations, any member of staff is able to perform the installation.
During operation, healthcare professionals can monitor operation status and log data. They can also export data for further analysis.
The Ventilution® System detects, measures, and interprets data of breathing patterns and CO2 content. In case of alerting events, they are guided how to fix the problem.
