Sauer Compressors specializes in the development, production, and sale of oil-lubricated and oil-free medium- and high-pressure compressors for applications in the naval marine, commercial shipping, offshore, and industrial sectors. It offers customized solutions for individual clients, OEMs, and companies that operate on a global stage.
In mid-2017, Sauer Compressors released a new range of controls for fully automated monitoring and control of compressor functions. The first model is the Sauer ecc 4.0 – a control for universal use in all compressor series. The GUI has been developed with Embedded Wizard by our GUI Services team, running on an STM32 microcontroller.
The Solution
The new control is operated using a 7” color touch screen display. Users benefit from the user-friendly, intuitive menu system and step-by-step instructions in more than 30 languages. All relevant parameters are visible at a glance, which makes the operation easy, reliable, and fast. In case of faults, the control provides detailed alarm and fault messages including remedial suggestions. Thanks to a numerical keypad it is now easy to adjust the values. A number of features can easily be added and customized for specific projects.
As intended from the beginning, Sauer Compressors has completely taken over the GUI project. Now they can easily implement new extensions using the framework and custom widgets developed by our team. This ensures an optimum development process flow.
